The Nutcracker Scepter is primarily a Christmas tale. It was created by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann in 1816.
Likewise, in 1892, it was turned into an artistic ballet performance by composer Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreographers Lev Ivanov and Marius Petipa.
However, this version is based on the “Story of a Nutcracker” by Alexandre Dumas (published in 1844).
Specifically, The Nutcracker Scepter tells the story of a young girl who, on Christmas Day, receives a toy called the Nutcracker.
In particular, this toy looks like a soldier and comes to life. The young girl, Marie Stahlbaum, finds herself involved in a war against the Mouse King in a magical dream. After this battle (in which they are victorious) is over, the sword-wielding nutcracker transforms into a prince and together they go to the magical kingdom where the dolls live.
In general, this Christmas decorative toy represents: hope, magic, fantasy and dreams.
